A makeshift way to lower northbridge temp by 5C

Well, it worked with me. Just kinda shoved it in there... with everything running, as I had Prime95 running, and didn't want to turn comp off. Cut my finger in the process.



EDIT: Just put fan back in (took out earlier), and actual drop is:

Temp 2: 45 down to 37.5C
Temp 3: 51 down to 41C

congradulation on your new setup, it was succesful i guess. was worth cutting your finger lol. the picture is still downloading...will take a while lol.
what did you do though?
 
Well, I've got the air duct, whcih you can see here, giving air straight to CPU cooler. I've jammed a 120mm fan between the duct and the IDE cable coming out of my CD Drive. Just so happens to point straight to my Northbridge.

i just love the air duck for the PSU.....its awsome!
and that CPU cooler, its incredible! i love it! i tihnk its great! very coool. it probably works awsome.!
