A Question About AGP Aperture Size

I just ran a report on with everest, and, while reading it I noticed that it said my agp aperture size was 128mb. Well, I am running a 7800 GS with 256mb so I went into BIOS and changed the aperture to 256mb. What I am wondering is, will this make a significant difference? I just ran 3dMark01 and my benchmarks went up 1500 points, but what really does the changing of the aperture size do?

AGP Amperture is kinda like Virtual memory for you video card, but it uses your systems ram instead of your harddrive.
