A question of cookies

Hey Folks,

Having problems with cookies when I try to get on the xbox official site, specifically when I want to log in......keeps asking me to enable cookies.

I'm on Home XP running IE6.

On the security tab in internet options, I try to set the custom level to Low, but it keeps defaulting back to medium. In my advanced privacy settings its set up to overide all cookie handling and to accept first and third party cookies, and allow all session cookies, but still I can't get on some sites like the one mentioned above......and other websites.

Any ideas? I'm on Bt Yahoo BB and have Norton Internet security + an Adware filter.

Please help! Any info would be much appreciated!

Regards

Ainsley

You could switch to Firefox... But thats a drastic solution. Maybe you could try the Realplayer browser, sometimes that works better (or worse).

Just a theory, I'm not sure if it will work...anyway:

Open IE (duh)> Tools> Interent Options...> General Tab> Temporary Internet Files Section> Click 'Settings...'> Click/ Select the Automatic option button> Ok> Ok.
I belive that should work :)

You could try this. Go to tools, then internet options, privacy, sites, and then look on the list and see if one or more of your sites are blocked. If so just highlight the site you want to allow and check allow. You could also just type the name in the box and check allow. Hope if works for you!

Thanks for your replys!

OS dragon,

I already tried that one, its confusing the hell out of me!

Moronicus,

When I checked out sites, I had put 'block' in for xbox.com by mistake! However, now I've changed it back to allow, I still won't work! AAAAGGHHH!!

Thanks again in advance
