Hey guys, do you think that 1.65V is pushing it when considering the voltage? I am asking because I would like to OC further but my next step following 1.55V is 1.65...and that's quite a lot. Note that the A64 Venice (3000+) runs at 1.4V stock.
I have mine running above that (~.68v), although I've heard that .65v is the highest safe voltage for this chip. I've had no problems running at this voltage, although I can't see what it will eventually do to it. I'd say that is a fine voltage.
I wouldnt run that for very long, but it should be fine for benching. Alot of people run at 1.6 V 24/7 but they're the people who have 20 CPUs laying around the house . Doesn't your motherboard have steps inbetween 1.55 and 1.65? Going at like 1.57 or 1.58 would be better (and safer). Maybe I'm just spoiled by my DFI board . But try 1.6 first.
Well, the HT multiplier is set at 3x and timings/speed of the RAM are at 450Mhz at their default 2.5,3,3,8 Well I think that 2.7Ghz is not too stable at the 1.55 though...tried Prime and could not even complete a 1hour test. I am positive that a good PSU (mine sucks now) and a mobo with some more increments in voltage would help.
