Wat is AA and wat does it do, and it does stand for anti-aliasing or watever, right? I have seen it in bf2 video settings and i dont know whether to put it on or not?

thanks

AA is a video thing that makes games look nicer by blending pixels iirc
it strains the GPU more, but with your card i you could put 2x/4x maybe

his card can set it to 8 if im not mistaken ;)
and ATI card usually have a better performance when using full AA :)
(i mean.. with AA and AF on full.. the x850XT PE almost gets even with a 7800GTX, when both put on full AA and AF ofcourse ;) )

o so its better to use it, and i think im gonna put it at 4x and is it usually a dramatic difference. This might fix the problems i have been having in bf2 where everything is kinda jagged and not straight. Maybe?

thanks

its on 1204x768 i think at like 60hz, wait would putting it on a higher resolution make it a better pic or would it lag? cause it has trouble playing an all hard settings so would increasing the resolution make it look better and play slower or would it only be better?

it would look better but it would go slower if ur gfx card cant handle it. also u can only put the res as high as ur monitor can support.

well as u can see i have the ati x800xl, do u think that can handle it. the ati catalyst control center is running in my taskbar and i when i put my mouse over it it says 1280x1024, could i put it on that and on bf2 when choosing the resolution is says like @60hz, should i put 1280x1024 at the maximum amount of hz or the lowest?

lowest ;) that makes it easier for the card, and you wont really notice a difference :) (especially since you have a LCD, and dont really need to cyncronize the card and the monitor (because CD's dont operate on a fracuentie like CRT's do :) )
