AA8XE with Dual Core Processor

I wanted to know if it was possible to put in a core 2 duo Intel processor into my Abit AA8XE motherboard (http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Abit/AA8XE/) . It has a Pentium 4 and they use the same socket. Any help would be appreciated.

It is very doubtful that any Core 2 Duo will work in it.

So, there you go, the answer is no, and also it doesnt even support dual cores, so that pretty much says it right there a core 2 DUO wont work

So I need to buy a new motherboard then if I want a new processor. Which means I'll have to get a new hard drive. Is there any way of transferring all of my programs over to a new hard drive?
