Hi all,
I've assembled a PC of the following specs:
a8n-SLi Deluxe, Athlon64 3800+, X800GTO2, Hiper 580W PSU, 1 GB PC3200 Ram, 80GB SATA HDD
(a delicious new PC :D )

BUT

With all the stuff inside and connected, I turn on the switch at the back of the PSU so that I can press the 'ON' button at the front. But before I've pressed the 'ON' switch, all the fans come on; but only for a few seconds before going off again. Randomly it will turn on and off until I turn off the switch at the back again.

It did the same thing with another PSU, an Enermax 600W. (but if you have any PSU oriented suggestions I'll be glad to hear them)

Hope you can help...

Are all the fans connected on one molex, or on one line? Try speading them over the molexes, instead of putting all the load on one.

Sounds like your front panel power switch is randomly shorting out. Did you remember to mount the MB on standoffs when installing it? Check that the soldered side of the power switch header isn't shorting out on anything. Try disconnecting the front panel power switch and see if it still happens, this will at least rule it out.

Thats not normal.

Try turning the machine on and off using th emobo itself rather than the button
