I think this may be a power supply issue, put in the middle of game play of CC generals when I built up a fair army the screen appeared as pictured. This only occurs in highly populated areas. When I go to a portion of the map with just buildings all is normal.
not a psu problem. if it were psu, it would just shut off, or the whole thing would glitch, instead of just the singular part like you say. possibly a driver problem? or overheating, or overclocking gone wrong
it can be the psu if the card begins drawing too much power(assuming its connected with an extra connecter from the psu) though even though, either way its highly doubtful, your card may be working too hard and is overheating.
I have a stupid dell, and the gfx card is a bfg 7600 gs and yes it does have an extra power thing. I tried seeing what the power supply's max wattage and it's not clearly labeled, but based on the model number I think it's a 250watt which I know is not enough for my card.
yea i find it unlikely that your video card would mess up one part of the picture, but keep the other parts perfectely fine. (even if the parts left undone werent video card reliant) the game would freeze, or artifact, or blow up
EDIT: what about other games? have you tried those? there are many ways to do this, the best i can think of so far is update drivers
Drivers have been up to date since they came out a month ago. I turned down the res and detail and the game played so I'm going to upgrade the power supply.
