Are you looking for Windows XP Home full, or XP Hope Upgrade? If you have a windows 2000 or 98 or 95 DISK then a upgrade edition will be fine, it doesn not have to be installed unlike popular belief...

Although as a warning, the "new" upgrade's only allow one per motherboard, if you get a new mobo then techinally you cant use it anymore. If you get a old version and jsut downlod the updates then you dont have to agree to that.

it's an OEM version so it doesn't come with the fancy box.

Will it work -(explanation) I got new MOBO and CPU and my HDD still thinks that its the old Compaq, and it won't boot so it asks for system disk. Does that mean the OS disk???
