Abit NF7-SG2 ram bus destroyed?

I've finally made my computer make noises. :p
It beeps, is silent, beeps, is silent.. But no other actvity. A classmate suggested that something has happened to a bus on the mobo. I'm quite sure all other components work, except the PSU, which MIGHT be broken.
How do I check the buses? (please shoot me if you don't understand  )
I'm such a n00b when it comes to hardware, really. >_<

How do I check the buses?
Short of breaking out the microsope (well a really fancy one able to probe multiple layers of PCB) ... you dont... either it works or it doesnt.

And how do I know it's the bus then? Excluding any other potential error? Sending it back to where I bought it? >_<

I'd think there are serverl much more prone-to-fail things than the system bus :) You can check by eliminating all the other potential problems (CPU, power, ram, video)

What were you doing when it stopped working? That could eliminate a few possibilities. Bus being faulty is a pretty specific guess...

I accidentally overclocked fsb. :p
Also set system performance to aggressive. However, none of those things should (according to manual) NOT damage the motherboard.

It was, as I wrote, a classmate who told me it was probably something with memory or ram. I'm ignorant. ;)

Have you tried clearing CMOS or anything like that? If you messed up BIOS settings then it needs to be cleared. If it still doesn't work i would try reseating everything in the mobo again, sometimes that fixes really bad settings.
