about internet connection

my internet connection is 64 kbps and my friends internet connection is also same but my connection is very slow and friends connection is very fast why like this

64kbps isn't very fast, are you absolutely sure his connection is rated at the same speed? If he can stream movies, like youtube, or download large files quickly then he has a faster than 64kbps connection.

Does your friend live in the same street?
Are you further away from the local exchange than he is?
Have you got installed the filters on your telephone outlets?
Is your line "dirtier" than his is, ie noise?

So many things can affect losses on the line.
