about restart computer

i have noticed many windows2000 system has an new problem that
when i start computer ,a statement appear news that computer remains
60s to be restarted.
i think there has some virus which make it restarted.

who can tell me how to solve such problem?

i think there must be some viruses in them.

i want to know the reason of restarted compuer ?

besides i have avast on my computer.
i found it eat a lot of palce on my computer.

which virus software is best in protecting computer ?
