Hi all, just got some great help on here finding parts for my new build to play MMO's and other random games. Wanted to post everything in a new thread just to see if anyone has some last minute input on what I'm about to be buying.

Also if anyone could recommend the best video/guide to building it piece by piece along with the initial start up it would help out a lot. I have no experience with this, it will be my first time building. Thanks

I don't know the differences between parts or what's better than what I'm kind of relying on the word of more experienced people. I don't have a computer I'm just using my phone so it's hard to look up a lot of this stuff.

Just out of curiosity why would you pay 150$ more if there's a cheaper one that can still run the newest games smoothly?

Video card i was going to get is discontinued, could someone recommend another please? I don't mind if it costs a little more i just don't want to downgrade.

Should i run crossfire? Is that necessary? Im about to order this in the next couple of days and i just want to make sure i have a good system here. This will be my primary source of entertainment for awhile. I want to make sure it can handle nice graphics and smooth performance.

Thanks!

That's odd - a 290 has already been discontinued?

I assume since you were looking at the 290, you are prepared to pay 500 dollars for a video card? If so, here is another R9 290X: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202042

You can look at other brands too, that's just a Sapphire one.

And I'd just get one 290X and be done with it. They're fast cards. Two would be a waste of money.

Ugh i hate to keep asking questions, but im trying to order everything and a lot of things on my list are sold out. Could someone help me revise my list? The processor, ram, and cooling that i planned on getting are out of stock.
