ac adapter

hey guys. i bought an lcd monitor from ebay recently, and i need a 14v ac adapter for it. can i buy any 14v adapter (like this) and use it or would i have to get one specific to the monitor model (like this)?

the monitor is a samsung 19" analog/digital lcd.

the non monitor specific one is 3,4 Ampere max, the original one is 4Ampere max. but i dont think they'll get fully loaded by just powering a monitor.

both have the same connector, and layout ( - outside, and + central pin) so, except the 0,5A i dont see a problem

Yeah, you need the correct voltage, enough amps(you can have more, just don't have less) polarity(+ and -) and plug type/size. I've actually hgot two older laptop power supplies that probably would work. It really shouldn't be hard to find one.
