AC Power Jack

I have a dell Inspiron 700m, It has a dead coin cell battery that I havent got around to replacing. However, It has this weird problem the past 2 weeks where it wont accept AC power, I have to wiggle the cable for it to connect. Does anyone know how I can fix this, my warranty is no more of course and dell has horrible customer service so I know I am on my own. Is there any way to replace the AC jack?
 
Sounds like the connector has come loose from the motherboard, the only real solution would be to open it up and solder it back on.
 
See thats what I would think but when I had opened it, it looked pretty solid on there. How safe is it to solder on a motherboard?
 
here are some pictures of the part in question, the resolution isnt very good but does anyone know if you can simply by a replacement chip of this type?
