right click on the entry in device manager and click on properties, click on the details tab, select hardware ID in the property bar, then give me the 4 digit vendor and device ID numbers. They look like this.

thanks for your help jhon
im in device manager but i dont know what entry you asking me to right clicl on
if you mean the wifi , i dont have it there because the driver is missing .
please can you explain more , and im sorry if i dont understand

There will be an entry with a yellow question mark on it, which means it needs a driver. Please right click on that entry itself and then click on properties and then the details tab.

If there are no yellow question marks then either the device is bad and the system doesn't recognize it or the system has already installed the driver for it.

Look under network adapters in device manager and list what entries are there.

jhon thanks again problem fixed
all i need to do is turn the wifi button from my laptop lol
but i still want to know if i give you the code how you get the driver
just i want to know if you dont minde
thanks

I use a website and enter the ID numbers which tell me the provider and exact device.
