I took my hp Compaq nc6320 in for repairs due to a "damaged or missing Optical Drive" and the jerks at the store charged me for a new hard-drive, saying the old one was useless now...I found out that the optical drive and hard-drive aren't the same and want to see if the old hard-drive still works...is it possible to remove the current hard-drive and put the old one in without it erasing the memory of the current hard-drive or rebooting?
