I'm looking into buying a laptop for collage like most other people and have been shoping around a lot. I have been eyeing a few asus and hp models and i came across this. Is acer a reliable company? I am looking between these couple.
I will be using this for WoW gaming along with CoD4 dota and such. Not looking for major output but fairly decent. my price range is around $1200

I like the acer because i will be saving about 300 ish on it. I can see the cpu is a little better on the asus but i can live with that

hmmm toughie. they're all great laptops but the asus has the best CPU and the Acer has the better GPU among all three i think. you'll be able to play cod4 maybe on medium/high on all 3 but the asus one is the best of all three imo. :)

i got the asus m51 and i coudlent be happier with it, great warenty, good customer support, adn and all around well performing laptop, my only complaint is the mouse clicker is a lil loud,
dont bother with acer there garbage iwth terrible customer support, if theres something wrong with it chances are ur going to have a huge headach before u get anything fixxed

hp's are nice too, i also own one of those.

Ahh over-priced

No, it's not. Toshiba caters a lot to the business-class of notebook users. As a result, they tend to be a bit pricier, but their support is top-notch, and their components tend to be a bit higher-quality. Also, for the specs, it's fairly decent:)

To the OP: Toshiba is a very reliably brand, yes, but that particular system *might* be overkill in certain areas (that's really up to you and only you to decide). However, if you think you'll have use for a borderline business-class notebook, it's a nice choice.
