Acer Aspire 3000 XP Driver Help!

My friend got a Acer laptop from his family and wants me to clean everything off of it. He doesnt have any of the disks that comes with laptop...I know I can get the nesissary drivers off some free website? I went to the acer website (http://global.acer.com/support/download.htm) and went to the Windows OS Update. 1 of the links just showed me how to make sure I have automatic updates turned ON. I downloaded the WGA Plug in and it said " A required resource cannot be located". I cant get the Acer to work from ADSL Ethernet cable, audio doesnt work, etc. I just need in detail help on specifically what I need to do! Thanks to anyone and everyone who will help!
 
All I know is its a 3000. I can check when I get home, where would I look to get the exact model?
Yes as far as I know I need all the drivers. Im not sure, but Ill just go ahead and install them all. Im not exactly sure which drivers it does/doesnt have.
