Acer aspire 4220_ black sreen help!

A pleasant "hello" to everyone as a newbie. I got a problem with my cousin's laptop. when i switch on the power button, there's no response on screen. no display reaction. still all black. what is possible solution on this? plaese help...tia

Does the HDD make noise?
Do the LEDs come on and stay on?

Yes, the fans spin but after a few seconds stop. HDD make noise and LEDs stay on. What possible trouble of this master? please help...tia

Try removing the battery and make sure the terminal connectors are clean (blow the connectors, or use compressed air) then insert the battery again.

That's what I would try first.
