On my Laptop I am currently trying to install Windows 2000, but ever time the install starts and the cd starts to boot, the screen freezes at Blue Screen with the white writing on the bottom that says Setup is starting Windows 2000. My laptop has 2gb of ram, 384MB of video memory, a 250GB sata hard drive (that can be enabled for IDE mode, during Setup is in IDE mode) and an intel dual core processor1.46 GHz, 533 MHz). Please any help would be awesome. Also if anyone would know where to get frives made for windows 2000 that would be great too.

I think you need to boot from a floppy, as windows ME does.
But tbh i wouldn`t bother with 2000,unless you just want to now what it`s like, because it`s gonna be so insecure.Use XP Vista or 7.
