sure, run antivirus....figure out just what it is...try uninstalling or disabling that component if uninstall not possible. Worst case, msconfig and prevent it from popping up at startup

Anybody who still has this problem or wants to get rid of it:
DO NOT delete the partition or try uninstalling the software! Remove it using MSconfig first! The reason you guys are having so many problems is b/c you are trying to un-install a program that is running in the background. So, first disable it in Msconfig then, reboot your computer. This is a MUST. Then you can un-install it

Thanks for info about that eragent problem.I did as you suggested, and stopped the popup msg. but didnt uninstal it, because i'm not sure what program it's in. I think its in the empowering technology program which I sometimes use for brightness levels, speed settings, hard drive and monitor shutdown idle time settings when on battery power. If I uninstall Emp/Tech will it cause any problems?
