Boot to bios and you'll most likely see hdd lock. You would need to know the current password to unlock it though.

Unfortunately, do to our forum rules we are unable to help you clear a bios HDD lock password.

So pressing F2 won't get you into the bios to see if the HDD password is set? There are some machines where the hdd password is actually on the HDD so if you put a different hdd in there it shouldn't be locked. If it is, then its a bios hdd lock.

Try pressing enter 3 times to see if you get the ability to enter a code.

This would have been a password that was set by someone in the BIOS. If you bought this second hand and haven't used it until now, then you would need to contact the previous owner.

I am not sure if it's Acer or someone else, but I believe you may be able to contact Acer for a password to help access it, providing they can confirm you are the owner of the machine.
