acer one help needed

hi all i have a acer one netbook my harddrive gave up so i had to buy a new one and now i have put it in i cant get the thing to load windows. because i have put the new drive in i have lost the recovery section on the hard drive. i have a usb drive but i cant boot from it, its seeing it as a hdd cdrom and not usb cdrom dont no if thats the problem. but i can boot from a usb stick.
can you help.

You should contact Acer for replacements recovery CD's, they will charge a small fee however.

small fee lol they want 50 quid :confused: ive just loaded ubuntu onto it by making a usb bootable stick, its never worked so well :D i dont think i will be buying an acer again.

50 Quid?? Blimey. You could try ebay for some Acer 1 Recovery disks, or could try a local computer repair shop as they normally have disks for most brands of laptop.
