Acer TravelMate C110: Battery Life

I bought an Acer TravelMate C110 tablet PC a while ago and have one nagging problem with it: The battery that came with it has a charge of only 1800mAh. As a result the battery life seems to be about 90 minutes maximum, effectively ruining its portability (which it seems to be designed for in every other respect, e.g. size). I have looked around the web, and the best aftermarket battery that I have managed to find is only 1900mAh--not even a 6% improvement. Other laptops of equivalent size have charges of up to 4800mAh, I don't quite know what Acer thought they were playing at when they decided to release this model.

Is anyone aware of a better substitute battery available for this model of laptop? I am looking for something that is preferably available in the UK, although I am not averse to ordering one from North America, provided that they will ship it to me.

Barring that, does anyone else have this model of laptop? How do you manage with it?

A sticker placed on the box by the manufacturer suggests the following:

Intel Pentium M 900MHz CPU
256 MB DDR SDRAM
40GB HDD
Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
10.4" TFT screen

Tell me if you think that anything else could be relevant to power management.

Removable media like CD/DVD and floppy disks are all used with external USB drives.

pentium m it shouldnt have that poor a battery life and its got a small screen, but it could be really cheap. have you tried running the laptop on battery settings instead of AC power settings when it is on battery. if u turn down the screen light etc you can increase battery life. also if you are doing something very demanding on the computer 90 mins may not be too bad
