Anyone have one? Whats your thoughts about it?

I was really thinking of getting one because I think that the look it gives is AWESOME. Are there any cons?

I have this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811166047

It looks great, and because the acrylic is UV reactive, the entire case glows with the UV light I have in it.

Disadvantages to an acrylic case would be that they aren't quite as sturdy as metal cases. They probably wouldn't be a good idea if you take your computer to LAN parties or anything like that. Also, a lot of them come in pieces, so be prepared to build the case from the ground up.

I think they look nice too, I love the I can see all my electronics look... but, I don't think I'd ever get one, I can't imagine the places that dust would get, that would be visible, That you'd likely have to take a lot of stuff apart just to clean it.

things i would consider:
emi - because you don't have metal shielding high frequency components, you would have to be careful when placing near other electronic equipment.

esd - your ground node would be greatly reduced. you wouldn't have any metal surfaces to ground yourself when working inside an acrylic case.

just a though.

i found one in the trash about 3wks ago. never seen one and had everything it . loved it. it took out a dual video card and im using it. 250 gig sata. just formatted. also kept the ram. tried to fix it. think motherboard. also kept the power supply.
