Activating/Unlocking USB Port

Hi guys, I'm pretty sure I'm the nth person who experienced being in a company where usb ports for flash drives are deactivated/locked/blocked.
Is there anyway I could hack it? Or alter the settings without logging in as an administrator? Company files are just too large and internet connection is quite bad so online backing up and storage don't really work well.
I'm assuming that a lot of computer gurus in this forum could help me out despite the super secure protection our IT personnels have here.
Anyone?

Protection at work as been put in place for a reason, you won't get any help from here. You need to contact the IT personnel at your job place for assistance.
