Active Partition Question

Hello, I am new to the forum. I recently set up a dual boot scenario between Windows XP and Windows 7. It works good, except since I had to install XP first, it is set as my active partition, while 7 is just a primary partition. This is as it should be; however, my idea in setting this up was that should the need arise for me to ever need to get rid of XP, i could just delete it's partition and repair 7's boot records. I do not believe i can do this with XP as the primary partition( if I am wrong, please correct me). My question is simply this; how could I delete XP from this setup? Thank you for your help.

If you ever need to delete XP don't worry about it. You can just manually recreate the boot menu and all will be fine.

Thank you voyagerfan99, i appreciate your help. I found a website, which of course I bookmarked, which shows how to repair Windows 7 boot menu. Thanks for your help.
