Adding 2 year protection on MB/CPU purchases?

I will be building a system very soon and was wondering if it is worth it to pay the extra money for extended protection on parts like the mobo and cpu. I would be ordering from either newegg or Amazon. Assuming the MB and CPU are not doa, should I be okay without the added protection?
They do offer a 30day return I think. I am just very strapped for cash and want to know if it is really worth it. I would be running everything stock with no overclocking. Thanks!

MB manufacturers usually have 3 year warranties on their boards, and CPU's rarely go bad so I don't see the point.

The manufacturer already has their own warranty outside of Newegg's.

It depends if you want to return the part to the vendor (usually slower) than to Newegg, but it's generally not worth the extra cost.

Not sure about USA, but in Australia, extended warranties are a sham because consumer protection law covers you anyway.

I thought the warranty ya might purchase would go in effect after the company warranty went out. Curious now if this might be correct. Im bringing this up like for electronics i bought in the past and worked this way.
