adding harddrives

okay. I have been at this forever now, someone has to know how to get this , 1st off I have a Quantum Fireball SE with my OS on it, Thats going to be my Primary Master, I want to add an IBM deskstar : DPTA-3711360, I want to add that as a slave drive on the Primary Slave IDE, But for some reason I just cant get it, Please Help.

The required jumper settings should be printed on the top of the drive, but I can't see them from that angle.
 
From what I can see, the jumpers appear to be set correctly. What happens when you try to boot the system? Do the drives work individually (i.e. is the Fireball detected as primary master when alone, and the Deskstar detected as primary slave when alone)? Are you sure the IDE cable is good? Have you tried the 'cable select' option?
