Adding RAM to my HP 2000 2d11dx

So i recently bought an HP 2000 2d11dx and i love it. However it only comes with 4GB RAM and i wanted to upgrade it. I have a Toshiba Satellite C855 ds5104 on the side with a broken screen and i wanted to remove the RAM from it and add it to my HP laptop.

They are both 4GB DDR3 but they are from different manufacturers, obviously. my HP laptop has a maximum capacity RAM of 8GB so it would work out perfectly.

Moreover, Considering that the two RAMS that will be simultaneously running are not contiguous, will this cause problems for my computer in the long run? should i stick to 4GB ram or look to buy a pair? online?

Thank you for the response!!

Well if they're both DDR3 then they will work together, regardless of the brand of the stick. Just bear in mind though that if one stick is slower than the other, the pair will only run at the speed of the slowest stick - but they'll still work fine.
