administrator password

guys i forgot my administrator password on my pc but i am logged in on it (haven't turned off for 3-4 months)... I wanted to ask if there is any option to get mt forgotten password, to show me my password (it must be stored somewhere but how can i get the file) or i should just reset it with cmd... The first option would be useful if exists... I am using windows xp... Thanks for your help!

Im guessing you could do this now. If not and should create a new profile. Myself i have mine grandpa and two backup profiles called admin1 and admin2. If mine gets corrupted i can reboot and log in to another then delete my original account.

If you are logged in then all you have to do is go to User Accounts and Click on Remove Password.

That's not gonna work. When you remove the password on the user you're logged into, you need to enter the password.

Just create another administrator account and delete the password logged in from that user.

Do you mean the USER password as set up in Control Panel / User or the BIOS password that you set up when you built (or bought) the system.

User Password- just download Belarc and it will show you what you need to know, for a BIOS password follow this link for advice.
