Hey there just been looking through wat prorammes I have on my computer. And noticed I have;-

-Acrobat Reader 4.0
-Acrobat Reader 5.0
-Adobe Reader 6.0
-Adobe Reader 7.0
-Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Profetional

Does having the 7.0 porfetional render all these others usueless. And if so can I uninstall these others.

If I cant uninstall them all (bar 7.0 pro) which ones can I uninstall (if any)

And is Adobe reader exactely the same as Acrobat reader?

Thanks for any help.

Jon

Hmm. If they are all the same program.. Keep the latest one.

Wouldn't at some point.. they automatically update themselves?

Also, did you notice those in the Add/Remove or Program Files folder?
If so, you can check if the actual program is there and working.. I just find it kind of ironic to have different versions of the same program running without the program noticing it.

Well they all work individually. I know this as I have all the past desktop shortcuts. And when I click on them they all take me to different vertions of similar looking programmes.

I thought it was very silly aswell, I mean whats the point. And 7.0pro keeps updating needed 2 reboots so far.

So well if anyone can confirm that they are same prgramme then I will start uninstalling.

You don't need all those other versions do you? O_o; Although I find it strange that you were able to install all those without the adobe installer warning you. Normally, it'll install itself in the same folder as the previous version, wouldn't it?
