Adobe Premiere - Adding Effects

ranzy

Hey, just installed adobe premiere 6.5, and i have imported clips then put a clip in the timeline, but then when i drag an effect on it, the video does the effect(as in the still image), but when i press play it just goes through the video normally with no effect.

How can i solve this problem and actually add effects to the timeline?

thanks,

you actually have to turn the effect on

simply 'adding' the effect to the clip doesn't automatically turn it on

you gotta go into the effect setting, and enable it

on the monitor screen with the video showing it also has a cross in the top right corner, if that helps?

well, there's either a problem with the plugin or it simply doesn't support on-the-fly effects processing

try rendering a short clip with said effect on, and see if the effect shows up on the finished product

just do a sample project with a 10-20 second clip

i just pressed enter and then it said save first then it like loaded the frames and now the preview works, thanks for help:D

the only problem is every time i do a new effect i cant just press play, i have to press enter each time and then once previewed it just goes back to normal
