Please help,
I'm normally pretty good with PC's as I used to work with them, but I'm stumped with this one and it's really starting to annoy me.
OK, I have Windows XP Home edition on my PC, with all the updates inlcuding SP2. I had a bit of an incident with it the other day and ended up having to fomat the hard drive and reinstall windows. That went fine.
My biggest proplem is my internet connection. I have ADSL, and it works, it connects up (and does the unexplained disconnecting thing - but I think thats to do with how far from the exchange we are), but after using it for about 5mins, everything stops.
It doesn't say Not Responsding like it would if the programme crashed because I can close it and open it again, it just doesn't do anything.
I decided to download firefox to see if it was an IE problem and the same thing happens. And it also happens with my Outlook Express. The conneccting is there and it tells me its transfurring data but outlook cannot connect to the server.
And then if I open IE again it says page cannot be displayed.
I'm really not sure whats going on here and am tempted to take it to the PC clinic up the road to get it looked at. But if anyone has any ideas before I have to spend a fortune I would love to hear them.
Its really annoying when your trying to shop and the page just wont work!!
Thanks for your help
