Advanced sound editor?

I'm looking to write some piano sheet music for some songs, and I'd like to know if there is some software that can separate different sounds. For example, if one song consisted of vocals, piano, violin, drums, and bass, I'd like to edit it so that only the piano part of the song would be audible. Thanks in advance.

if you want to write the note of every instrument, you can use sibelius or finale notepad....

Well, I don't know the note of every instrument because of the vocals. Can those progams "decipher" the notes if you opened a regular music file (.mp3 or .wma)?

absolutely no!!

there is a program that do that (AudioToMidi), but is very unreliable...

from mp3 i think no!!
if you have the midi there are all the instruments isolated...

There is software that says it does that, but none really work. You need a .midi file, not .mp3 or .wma

MIDI is right.
If you can find a copy of Magix Notation, this just might be the ticket.
