Advertising Bar

Hi There

I've got an email account with Hotmail. Each time I log in to my Inbox, I keep getting this wretched advetising bar which covers up the date collum. I've tried right and left clicking it to shut it down, but it won't go away. Can someone advise on how to get rid of it?
