hello all am building a pc, mostly for working and a bit of gaming (bf 3,skyrim...)
the software i usually use are 3dstudio max(animation and modeling) adobe Photoshop,premier, after effects. mostly personal projects building portfolio hoping for a job in the future

is it better to go with nvidia since i use 3ds max? or ati will do fine
i live in Europe so i will order most of my parts from pixmania

Yes that's a nice system you've spec'ed out there. The P8Z68-V PRO GEN3 is a great board, I've got one running my 2500K nicely.

In regards to the GTX 580 vs 7950 debate, either one will work well, but as you're using Adobe software I'd probably steer you more towards the GTX 580. The 580 supports CUDA which should help your render times out a bit if you set After Effects up properly to take advantage of CUDA. 3DS Max may also be able to make use of CUDA as well.

You may also want to consider 16GB of RAM if your budget allows for it. Probably worth it for video editing and 3DS Max rendering.
