Advice: Good video card on a weak power supply

Hi all,

From a previous thread, I have the following info on my power supply:
+5V & 12V + 3.3 288W MAX

It also says 15A next to 12V.

That being said, I have been searching NewEgg for a new graphics card that my machine will accept and costs less than 130. Which one should I get?

I was thinking about this one:

Any recommendations for ATi cards or other nvidias?

There are many cards better than that for the price:
Nvidia: 6600GT, 6800GS (a bit expensive, but worth it)
ATi:X800GTO (in between the 6600GT and 6800GS in performance). The 400mhz core/700mhz memory cards (under $110) are closer to the 6600GT in performance, but the 400mhz core/900mhz memory cards (over $120) are much closer to the 6800GS in performance.
 
Hard to say for sure, but it wouldnt be able to run any of those cards listed under stable conditions.

Do you have a PCI-E or AGP slot?

I would be fine with a 6600. I actually bought one, installed it, it ran CoD2 pretty well. The problem? It cost me 194 dollars - it costs like 100 on New Egg.

EDIT: I didn't include this. I returned the Best Buy card. They are funny.

Should I stick with the 6600? I don't really want to invest in a power supply unless necessary, and frankly, CoD2 is probably one of the last games I'll play.
 
If you are satisfied with the performance and quality of your card on CoD2, you could stick with it. Though a good power supply would help the stability of your whole system, not just your video card.
 
the third one would have the fast core speed of 375mhz (vs. 300mhz and 350mhz). But the second one has the fastest mem speed of 800mhz (vs. 500mhz and 700mhz). I dont think there really is that much of a difference between those two.
