advice needed

i have an x800xt PE, audigy 2 zs, 1gb memory. going to get an x-fi based sound card when released.

i also have a motherboard that doesn't support memory over pc2100, 4x agp max, and an athlon xp 2200+ @ 1.8ghz.

as you can probably imagine, the graphics card is being bottlenecked by most of the system. i want to be able to run bf2 and f.e.a.r at high quality, and i was wondering what motherboard/cpu combinations i can go with to acheive this to complement everything else that i already have. i don't want to spend a huge amount of money, but if it's necessary i will. (preferrably a 64-bit AMD based system) i don't think i'll need to upgrade anything else, maybe some more memory though.

any advice will be appreciated :)
 
I think an nForce3 250 based board would be the best, if you can help it avoid VIA and SiS. They are good for people on a tight budget but you can get better performance out of the nf3
