Hi,i want to buy a machine around £750.I want to be able to use 4 or 5 applications at one time (Ebay,other sites etc) but i would like instant response after clicking on something.I do not play any games but would like a reasonable graphics card.Would you give me advice on best CPU,RAM etc.Thank you very much for any assistance and take care.

Any £750 machine would be able to do that. Any £500 machine would be able to do that. If you have no interest in games then any graphics card will do.
This for example, you can get it with a 22" Samsung monitor for £650.
Or do you want to buidl your own? Could be cheaper. Doug.
