Hey everybody,
I decided a fun thing to try in the new year would be to build my own computer. This computer I'm building would be used mostly for gaming. I'm currently playing my games on a laptop and would like an upgrade.
Here is the list of parts I've considered.
Case - http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-Enfo...8518803&sr=1-11&keywords=gaming+computer+case
Processor - http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i7-3770-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/tech-data/B007SZ0EHE/ref=de_a_smtd
Motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131981
RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 (X2 total of 16GB)
Graphics Card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745
Hard Drive- http://www.amazon.com/WD-Blue-Deskt...TF8&qid=1379898712&sr=1-3&keywords=hard+drive (For data/storage)
SSD - http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Elect...=1379898977&sr=1-1&keywords=solid+state+drive (For OS/Drivers)
Optical Drive - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118073
Power Supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027
Monitor - http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27EA63V-P-led-monitor (I already have the monitor, got it as a Christmas gift)
Operating System - Windows 8
How do all of these parts look? Is there anything I should change? Is everything compatible with each other? I am a little worried about the power supply because I didn't know how to calculate how much power I'd be using with this. I would like to have 2 monitors, is there anything special about dual-monitor displays?
When I priced this out, it came up to around $1,300, which I think is pretty reasonable. But I am always willing to save money! ;D Do you guys think there is anything I could switch to lower the price and not lose too much performance?
Thank you for taking the time to read and to help me out. Please let me know if I forgot anything or if there is more information you need to know!
