Advice on New Build

First desktop I've made and been wanting to get this for a while. I'd like some opinions if I could get any and if everything should work out. Also, I'm planning on overclocking the processor to 4.7-4.9 along with the graphics card. I've already ordered all the parts but if there is anything that is hugely massive of an impact please let me know! Thank you!

That is one nice board!, i think the MSI gtx 980 would fit better but thats just me. That strix is nice though.

You could also get a cheaper board, thats for really high overclocking and 3 way SLI.

I would also consider a faster refreshing monitor, id go for a 120hz if your wanting 1080p or 60hz if you want 1440p. A 980 will push more than double 60fps so a 60hz would be limiting the gpu somewhat even on say battlefield 4 maximum settings a single card when i had my 1080p monitor did somewhat 130-160fps easily.

Id also get a h100i if possible rather than the intel liquid cooling solution. Much better cooling, much better quality, with a set of sp 120 fans. Thermal paste comes pre-applied to this so you dont need to worry. You also dont need a 1000W PSU unless you plan on another or even 3 980s. 1TB SSD is not neccessary unless you plan to use that much in apps and different operating systems, It really doesnt make much difference in game performance. A 256gb should be plenty.

If you look at this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Wnwdgs

Put that saved money from the board, PSU and SSD into a really good monitor.

thats my thoughts anyway.

He said he already bought it.

Looks like a sweet build to me, also, I love that case

An, H100i or Kraken X61 are both good options for liquid cooling.
that thermal paste was uneeded, usually the intel compound is fine, even better than some stuff out thefd

I really appreciate it but I already ordered the parts :( Also, why do you prefer the MSI over the Strix? Or is the difference only aesthetics. Is the h100i that much better? I already have all the pieces in but if it is that urgent and much of a upgrade I wouldn't mind upgrading. If not in the future, I could just buy it to replace mine sometime. I also really like the SSD just in general because of the speed. (And it comes with far cry 4 :P) Is it that small of a difference? From what i've heard its a pretty massive upgrade from HDD to SSD. I might end up upgrading the Desktop also over time if I need it, so better safe than sorry with the 1000W. It shouldn't mess with the computers performance if I have more, should it? Did you see the newegg link to the monitors? again, is the quality and performance going to be that huge of an upgrade from the monitor I have how to one you're looking at? Could you explain to me the whole thing about refresh rate and effect on resolution and whatnot don't really understand that. Also planning on getting a couple demanding games like far cry 4, assassins creed, and watch dogs on ultra. You think this build should be able to run it? Thanks!

Why ask after ordering?

For that budget I would have cut out some of the SSD and went X99

I just said the MSI for aesthetics and cooling both perform well. The same with the vengeance RAM as it fits the board well and looks good. The h100i is much better than the Intel cooler. 240mm rad with 2x static pressure fans. Also looks much nicer as you can customise the main LED and get some really nice fans with it. I'd have definitely gone for a 120hz monitor though the 980 will be using half power even on battlefield 4 max ultra at 1080p 60fps.

Far cry 4 runs well, assassins creed not so much.

no, you need 2x gtx 980's to support a smooth 60fps on 4k, on high end games. A gtx 980 is a bit overkill for 1080p 60hz. You should get a 1080p 120hz monitor or 1440p 60fps monitor. Something like a gtx 770 would support battlefield 4 maxed ultra at 1080p 60fps.
