no you don't a 1.8GHz Athlon64 is plently fastI need something better than 1.8 ghz to run Half-Life 2
An Athlon XP yes, an Athlon64 is 'equal' to a higher speedBlue said:someone needs to research AMD. A 1.8 AMD chip is "aproximatly" equal to a 2.4ghz Intel.

Current processors: AMDdepends on what product lines you looking at.
WTF? How about the A64-4000? Naturally that logic fails as Intel doesnt have 4.0GHz chip. That is what the #'s are for, AMD A64 3400 = Intel 3.4GHz

Wow. 2GHz FSB. Where'd you find one of those?I really like that 3.4CEE with the 2MB L3 cache and the 2GHz FSB
2GHz FSB....uh....no. The FSB on the 1066bus boards is 266. Now if you can find a board/processor from intel sporting a 2GHz FSB (that would come out to 8GHz BUSBobo said:Good FSB is good, too

1. The 3.4CEE has a 200MHz FSBThe 3.4CEE has 800MHz fsb, 2MB L3 cache. The fx-55 has the 2ghz fsb

You know what I meantPraetor said:2. The FX55 doesnt have a FSB. It has a 1Ghz HTT
