After i have set up my dell vista pc what are the main things that i will need to download to view the web etc in terms of flash players etc to watch videos on youtube etc and where is the safest site to download the genuine article somebody mentioned codec as well do i need this and if so what and where from

What you want to do is download a codec pack. K-Lite is pretty good though some will argue. You can donwload K-Lite codec pack at:
