Is it worth upgrading to an aftermarket HSF sometime on my Venice 3500+? Doe they have any considerable advantage over stock cooling if I am planning to OC?

If your planning on overclocking the hell outta your cpu, then aftermarket is the way to go. Get the biggest heatpipe possible and oc that bad boy.

lol, because of the "old boy" comment, i can only picture you as sherlock holmes now :P

anyway, going aftermarket with the hsf can never hurt really, especially if you oc. and its not as if they cost much anymore anyway. but remeber to buy some thermal paste too, the stuff that comes with the hsf isnt usually good quality
