Aftermarket motherboards

Okay another motherboard question. A lot of mb's that I read reviews on, seem to have mixed comments. Some saying DOA, some saying lasted a month, 2 months, etc.. I do not understand. Every computer I have had, has lasted at least 5-10 years. Are these motherboards bought from newegg etc just inherently junk compared to boards that are in complete systems that you would buy from best buy/walmart?

You have to remember that not everyone that has a working product will leave a review. The people that receive a bad product will not hesitate to immediately leave a 1 star review. I've bought plenty of motherboards off both Newegg and Amazon and have not had any issues.

Okay. I will probably go the amazon route and add the 2 year protection for $2.50 just in case. Thanks.

Sounds kind of pointless, as manufacturers normally have anywhere from a 2-5 year warranty on motherboards. But that will probably just allow instant return to Amazon for replacement, no questions asked.
