AGP or PCI-E i cant tell?

i bought COMPAQ PRESARIO and if you go in this website:

it says it has a PCI-E expansion slot but it doesn't say anything else about the pins or anything. my AGP fits there and runs perfectly but im not sure what kind of PCI-E it is.

im so lost

pci-e looks something like the 2 longest slots in this pic

AGP looks something like the brown slot in this pic

Um...are you sure you have AGP, or that the link's to the correct machine? I mean AGP card WILL NOT work in PCI express... The slot on the mobo should be brown if it's AGP.

if you can open the computer and look inside it it's written beside the slot

Although, they only said PCI-E, so it could be 1x, 4x, 8x, or 16x.
As other people have said, take a peak inside.

its definatly 16x, just trust me, they dont use 1x slots, its either 16x, AGP, or none

exactly now that i know its PCI-E i need to know if its 1x, 4x, 8x, or 16x.

its 16. 1x is really smal, 4x is the same, 8x, what the hell is that. it can only be 16x
