agp question?

i have a dell 4600 demension, 2.66ghz , i'm looking for a new video card for my agp slot.do i need a agpX8 ,or agp pro? i'm leaning towards a geforce 6600gt. any suggestions? i just want to upgrade from the geforce 5200 crap i have now ,so i can play some newer games like .(cod2, doom3 etc.) thanks in advance!:D
 
it will tell u in your instruction manual wat agp speed your motherboard accepts. i would think it will be 8x if your comp was made in the last few years.

i would go for the 6600gt its a good card i have just upgraded to one form the 5200. and there is a massive inprovement. if you can i would get teh xfx model it has a good game bundle with it. but any 6600gt will show a great improvement for a reasonable amount of money
