Hi Im 15 and havent got much money to buy a whole computer and Im good with computers so my parents allow me to update and muck around with the home pc.

But its kind of old and the motherboard only allows AGP cards.
I have a geforce 6600 256mb AGP and can run games like call of duty 4 on low which doesnt mind me.

But am interested to know if i want to update at a later time , do i have to buy complete new motherboard and if i do will i need to get new cpus , ram and power supplies and also if there are any 7 series cards that support AGP.

Its all depending on what you wanna update.. if its the cpu, then its the cpu and motherboard, unless you buy one of the same socket..

Thanks everyone for the help il have a look at the 7 series cards

Do not get any of the 7 series AGP cards on newegg. You will not notice ANY performance difference. If you want to upgrade, get the HD3850. It's about the only card that's worth an upgrade to.
